Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka is a British-American musician and sitarist. She is also the first and youngest woman to receive an award from the British House of Commons Award. Anoushka is a rising star in Indian sitar. She is a student as well as granddaughter of legendary Ravi Shankar. She was born in 1982 in London. Her early years were split in London in London and New Delhi. In New Delhi, she made her debut at just thirteen years old. Then she relocated to Encinitas CA where she graduated from High School with honours in 1999.
